A new addition to the BEDC lineup of Global Entrepreneurship Week events was the Next Man Up! Men in Entrepreneurship event. This was a men’s only event where, over 85 men in entrepreneurship and men in business came together, learned, and grew as small business owners. The event consisted of networking, canapés, drinks and a panel discussion with influential local men that have had success in business and are paving the way for the next generation of male entrepreneurs.
The discussion was moderated by Ray Lambert, Director of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise as the BEDC and the panel of both seasoned and new male entrepreneurs dove into topics that men in entrepreneurship don’t usually get to explore; such as work-life balance, the journey into business, entrepreneurship, health & wellness, and more. The panel included Marico Thomas, owner of the Thomas United Company Ltd., Fitzgerald Williams, found or MASC, Nick Thomson, president of the Scooter Mart, Gilbert ‘Artie’ Darrell, CEO of Horizon Communications and Winston Godwin Sr., the co-owner of Titan Express.
