This month we feature Kelsea Williams, Communication & Development Officer.
- What excites you about entrepreneurship?
There are a lot of things that excite me about entrepreneurship. However, the freedom it provides is one of the most exciting parts of it. It provides the entrepreneur with the freedom to be creative, to solve problems, and to chart their own course.
- What advice would you give to someone who is trying to become an entrepreneur?
Take one step at a time. Entrepreneurship is exciting, but also extremely overwhelming at times. My advice would be to break down the mountain into small hills, and then the hills into short paths and so forth. That is the only way you will ever eventually conquer the mountain itself.
- What is your role at BEDC?
My role at BEDC is the Communication & Development Officer. I, alongside my team, work to make sure the public knows who BEDC is, what we offer, and how we can help them throughout their entrepreneurial journey. We work to develop educational programming to help entrepreneurs along the way too.
- What is the best part about being a member of the BEDC team?
The best part about being a member of the BEDC team is that I get to assist entrepreneurs just like myself. I am able to use my creativity and knowledge and see real results from those that we assist.
- What role does entrepreneurship play in the future of Bermuda?
Entrepreneurship is the future of Bermuda. Small businesses are the lifeline of any community, Bermuda is no exception.
