Permanent Secretary, Government of Bermuda
Dr. Attride-Stirling is a Permanent Secretary with the Bermuda Government, currently assigned to the Ministry of Finance. She was previously Permanent Secretary of Culture and Sport from 2021 to 2022, Chief Strategist for the Ministry of Health from 2019 to 2020 and Permanent Secretary of Health from 2015 to 2019. Prior to joining the Government, she was Chief Executive Officer of the Bermuda Health Council from 2009. She has worked at the regulatory body for the National Health Service in England and Wales. Dr. Attride-Stirling obtained her doctoral degree from the London School of Economics in 1998; has an Executive Diploma in Strategic Management from the Chartered Management Institute, UK; is trained in Change Management with the International Centre for Parliamentary Studies; and has completed certifications in Executive Leadership from the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Attride-Stirling has published academic papers on health regulation, health promotion, mental health and research methodology. Her work in Bermuda includes production of several strategic initiatives including the National Sports Plan 2022, the National Youth Plan 2021, creation of a National Health Promotion Strategy, introduction of annual National Health Accounts, and production of other initiatives and reports to assess and improve the performance of Bermuda’s health system.
