As an Assistant Development Officer at the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation (BEDC), she evaluates co-op and business projects to identify and fund initiatives that drive economic progress and innovation across Bermuda. Adriana holds a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Risk Management from St. John’s University, where she graduated summa cum laude, demonstrating her expertise in financial mathematics, business strategy, and risk management. She has successfully passed multiple Society of Actuaries exams, solidifying her analytical foundation in financial modeling and decision-making. Committed to continuous learning, Adriana is currently pursuing a Master’s in Statistics and Data Science from the University of Strathclyde. Before joining BEDC, Adriana worked as an Associate Actuarial Consultant at KPMG, delivering actuarial insights, managing complex projects, and supporting data-driven strategies for clients. Her industry experience spans AXA XL, Hudson Structured Capital Management, and Bowring Marsh, where she developed Power BI models, assisted in underwriting analysis, and contributed to pricing strategies. Beyond her corporate career, Adriana is a dedicated entrepreneur and investor. She is the founder of Scholar Advise, a STEM tutoring business that provides mobile and remote on-demand services for Bermuda’s youth. She also plays a key role in The Travel Guru, where, as an Associate Travel Agent, she helped grow social media engagement by 167% and developed compelling tourism pitch decks. As an active investor in Bermudian businesses, Adriana also provides consulting services for investor pitch decks, helping local entrepreneurs bring their visions to life. Fluent in English and Spanish, Adriana’s expertise in financial analysis, strategic planning, and economic research allows her to make meaningful contributions to Bermuda’s business landscape.
