  • Ephraim Salaam
    Ephraim Salaam
NFL Veteran, Professional Athlete, Film Producer & Writer

Ephraim Salaam is a former 13-year NFL veteran that quickly transitioned into the entertainment field. His quick wit and gregarious personality made it easy for him to build a career as an on-camera talent for CNN, ESPN, FOX Sport 1 and a host of other networks. But his passion for film is what lead him to produce his first film in 2004. With a host of producorial credits added to his resume, Ephraim then turned his attention to writing. He was staffed on his first show as a WGA staff writer in 2018 for The Continental (A John Wick Story). Since then, he’s been staffed on three other shows including the smash hit series Bel-Air for Peacock. Ephraim’s unique life experiences as a professional athlete, on-camera personality and his film back ground, make him a dynamic voice and any writers room.

Financial Education Specialist, Consultant & Speaker

I love connecting real life to financial concepts. I despise selling the idea of something that I don’t believe in. So here’s six quick things about me and my work. In, out, nobody gets hurt.

1.) I’ve helped consult and service over 75 banks across the Southeast US in key elements of community development, home ownership, and the Community Reinvestment Act. In the federal banking space, I have produced work for Industrial Bank, Atlantic Capital Bank, Citizens Trust Bank, BayVangaurd Bank (formerly 1880 Bank), Mechanics & Farmers Bank, Seacoast Bank, FineMark National Bank & Trust, and more. And I’ve gotten to connect with the various leaders at these great institutions in effort to help low to moderate income individuals get access to capital.

2.) I’m a finance junkie that took that interest and left my first corporate role to independently open a financial advisory office in DC when I was 25. I could spend hours watching CNBC and Bloomberg but I stop myself to go be productive. I love everything about using money to experience the true gems of life like family, travel, and great food!

3.) I created my role in financial education by using my past experiences in economic research, financial advising, bank consulting to create relatable content that can take someone from 0 to 100 real quick in personal finance. My dream? Create an accessible education platform that provides the basics to money & investing that empowers an individual to pursue purpose and not just a paycheck for survival.

4.) Several years ago, out of the blue, my best friend and former teammate was killed in my hometown. I mention it here because ever since, I committed to living each day like it could be the last. We always spoke about our dreams and now I carry the full responsibility of realizing our dreams for the both of us!

5.) This is how I sum up my work. I help people feel informed and empowered to make financial decisions that will change the plight of their lives and generations to come. The educational content that I create combines technical concepts with real life analogies. This encourages action for those that may have felt overwhelmed with mastering investing & money management.

6.) I enjoy meeting new people. Hearing the stories of others helps me frame ideas and connections that impact the world. My favorite habit is to speak when I have something to add, not just to fill silence. This helps me build meaningful relationships in life and business. In Malcolm Gladwell’s word, I’m a Connector and a Maven.
