- What excites you about entrepreneurship?
Entrepreneurship excites me because it is the birth of an idea. It is a dream being realized that fills in the need of the market in a way that has yet to be seen.
- What advice would you give to someone who is trying to become an entrepreneur?
My advice to anyone becoming an entrepreneur is to understand your why; to research the resources available to you regarding mentorship, finances and data on the market you are trying to reach. Also, do not think failure is not an opportunity for growth and being able to pivot.
- What is your role at BEDC?
I currently serve as a Board Member for BEDC.
- What is the best part about being a member of the BEDC team?
I am really excited about the opportunities that I can participate in within growing opportunities for the new entrepreneur. BEDC have so many exciting products and programs to help grow an entrepreneur from a new start to upscaling outside our borders.
- What role does entrepreneurship play in the future of Bermuda?
Entrepreneurship plays a huge role in our future economy. New business creates new jobs and new drivers in our economy.
- What trends have you noticed emerging within Bermuda’s Entrepreneurial Landscape?
Trends that I have noticed in the entrepreneurial landscape are an increase in health and wellness entrepreneurs. The world, and most Bermudians are concerned about their inner and outer being and entrepreneurs are rising to take care of these needs. The new ideas range from skin care, beauty projects, healthy meals to spa care. It seems our local entrepreneurs are keeping their ear to the ground to understand the needs of our community. There are such exciting things in the pipeline.
